About the Canine Trailing Trials
The canine trailing trials are designed to evaluate a dog’s ability to follow a specific human scent trail in realistic conditions. The focus is not on speed or performance, but on teamwork, reading your dog, and gaining insight into how your dog works when given the opportunity.
All trial events are nonprofit events in support of Bloodhound Man-Trackers (BMT). Registration fees directly support BMT’s mission, equipment, and ongoing search and trailing efforts.
Participation in a trial is confirmed only after a team has been drawn. Once selected, participants are required to submit the applicable registration fee, which is handled as a nonprofit donation.
Thank You for a Wonderful First Trailing Trial
We want to thank everyone who came out for our first Trailing Trial on February 28 in Kiowa.
It was a wonderful day filled with great teamwork, impressive dogs, and dedicated handlers. It was truly exciting to watch the teams work together and see the partnership between dogs and their handlers in action.
A special thank you goes to everyone who helped make this event possible - from the volunteers and organizers to the participants who brought such great energy to the day. Your support and enthusiasm helped make this first trial a success.
We are grateful to everyone who joined us and look forward to hosting many more trailing trials in the future.
