Canine Trailing Trial Participation

I understand that participation in a Canine Trailing Trial involves inherent risks, including unpredictable dog behavior, environmental hazards, physical exertion, injury to people or animals, illness, or property damage. I acknowledge that no guarantees can be made regarding the behavior or performance of any dog, including my own.*

I understand that trails may take place in varied environments with uneven surfaces, obstacles, weather conditions, or footing challenges. I agree to take reasonable precautions for my safety and my dog’s safety and to follow all instructions and safety guidelines at all times.*

I voluntarily assume all risks associated with participating in, observing, or volunteering at a Canine Trailing Trial and accept full responsibility for myself, my dog, and anyone attending with me.*

I agree to release, indemnify, and hold harmless BMT Sleuth Dogs, including owners, instructors, volunteers, and contractors, from any claims related to injury, illness, death, or property damage, except in cases of proven gross negligence or intentional misconduct.*

I confirm that my dog will not wear or use aversive tools such as shock collars, prong collars, or choke chains during the trial.*

I certify that my dog is up to date on required vaccinations, including rabies, and is free of contagious illness. I understand proof of vaccination may be requested.*

I agree to notify the Event Organizers if my dog comes into season (heat) prior to the trial and understand participation may be restricted unless approved in advance.*

I may cancel a trial reservation up to 7 days prior to the scheduled trial date without charge. Late cancellations, missed trials, or policy violations may result in removal from the trial without refund.*

I have read and understand this waiver and acknowledge that participation in Canine Trailing Trials is voluntary and binding once my team has been drawn for an event.*
